TEAR TROUGH FILLER
Under Eye Filler in Tulsa, OK
Dermal Fillers can be placed under the eyes, or in the tear throughs to reduce the appearance of dark circles and hollowness. This is an advanced injection and should only be performed by an experienced injector. Not every patient is a candidate for tear trough filler. Typically, patients need cheek filler prior to treating the under eyes. The cheek is the foundation to the eye, and the first place we lose volume as we age. We must restore this foundation before treating the under eye which creates a more desirable result.
Tear Through Filler- Consultation & Treatment Day:
Before treatment, you will undergo a thorough consultation to determine if you are a candidate for filler in these areas, or if another treatment better suits your needs. If you are a candidate for treatment and time allows, we can complete treatment on the day of your consultation. The entire process takes an hour, on average.
After the consultation and prior to injections, before photos will be taken and a topical numbing cream will be applied to minimize discomfort. Once numb, the injection process takes around 30 - 45 minutes. The majority of patients report minimal pain and are able to continue their daily activities after treatment. Swelling is the most common side effect of any dermal filler treatment and can last anywhere from 48 hours up to two weeks.
Under Eye Filler INJECTIONS: DOWNTIME
At your appointment, you will be given after care instructions and a follow up appointment will be scheduled to assess your results. We always educate our patients on the healing process, which lasts up to 14 days. During the initial two weeks following your injections, it is normal to experience swelling, bruising and an uneven appearance. This should subside within two weeks.
TEar Through FILLER: RESULTS
Dermal filler results are immediate, however you are likely to experience the side effects above and full results may not be visible until two weeks following treatment. Fillers placed under the eyes last 6-9 months, depending on the filler used. At your two-week follow up appointment, we will assess your results and make any necessary adjustments.
