Chin Filler & JAwline Filler: CONSULTATION & TREATMENT
Before treatment, you will undergo a thorough consultation to determine if you are a candidate for filler in these areas, or if another treatment better suits your needs. If you are a candidate for treatment and time allows, we can complete treatment on the day of your consultation. The entire process takes an hour, on average.
After the consultation and prior to injections, before photos will be taken and a topical numbing cream will be applied to minimize discomfort. Once numb, the injection process takes around 30 - 45 minutes. The majority of patients report minimal pain and are able to continue their daily activities after treatment. Swelling is the most common side effect of any dermal filler treatment and can last anywhere from 48 hours up to two weeks.
Chin & JAWLINE INJECTIONS: DOWNTIME
At your appointment, you will be given after care instructions and a follow up appointment will be scheduled to assess your results. We always educate our patients on the healing process, which lasts up to 14 days. During the initial two weeks following your injections, it is normal to experience swelling, bruising and an uneven appearance. It is also common for one side of the face to swell more than the other. This should subside within two weeks.
LOWER FACE FILLER: RESULTS
Dermal filler results are immediate, however you are likely to experience the side effects above and full results may not be visible until two weeks following treatment. Fillers placed in the chin and jawline last 12-18 months, depending on the filler used. At your two-week follow up appointment, we will assess your results and make any necessary adjustments.
