Filler Correction, Dissolution in Tulsa
If you have experienced poorly placed Hyaluronic Acid (HA) dermal filler, or filler migration, we can dissolve the HA filler and reverse the results using an injection called Hylenex. Hylenex is a human recombinant form of Hyaluronidase and when injected into the area, it will dissolve HA fillers. HA fillers need to be dissolved when there are lumps, infection, poor cosmetic result, and urgently for vascular occlusion.
Hylenex Consultation and Treatment Day
Before treatment, you will undergo a thorough consultation. If we decide to dissolve your filler, it can usually be done the same day as your consultation, if time allows. If we are unable to complete treatment that day, a separate appointment will be scheduled. Prior to treatment, a topical numbing cream will be applied to help minimize discomfort. Most patients experience moderate swelling that lasts 24-48 hours post-treatment. You will be given after care instructions and will return in two weeks for a follow up appointment.
Hylenex Follow Up
At the follow up appointment, we will assess your results. If the filler is gone, and you have properly healed, we will discuss a treatment plan that meets your desired goals. If your filler is not gone, another treatment of Hylenex injections are needed. If this is the case, we can re-treat and follow up again in 2 weeks.
